Grow Your Faith

As we seek to know God more by striving to take on the character of Christ each day, we recognize that attendance at weekly church services is only the beginning of this process.

Often we wonder, “How can I truly know God?” The answer to that question is simple and complex all at once. Just like any relationship, we learn to know one’s voice by spending time with them, and that applies to God as well.

Personal time spent in reading and studying the Bible and in prayer is very crucial to our spiritual journey. But it doesn’t stop there. God created his people for community! When we meet together in smaller groups, we have the opportunity to learn from one another, to be encouraged, and to share in the joys and concerns of others.

As we seek to learn and grow, HCOB is an active body of believers who fellowship together in a variety of ways. Some small groups meet bi-monthly to work through Bible study via RightNow Media. Each fall and spring, women gather for a book study and a time of intercessory prayer. Sunday School classes, both traditional classes and short-term topical studies, provide opportunities to grow in biblical and practical wisdom. Various groups gather for prayer breakfasts, service projects and much more.
