Mission Statement: HCOB Youth Ministry exists for TAG
Teaching teens about the Bible (2 Timothy 3:15-16, Hebrews 4:12, Colossians 3:16)
Assisting them in their daily lives (1 Corinthians 1:10, 1 Thessalonians 5:14, Galatians 6:2)
Growing in faith & maturity in Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18, Hebrews 6:1, Luke 17:5)
Tag is the German word for “day” or “today,” meaning that we are living in the moment that Christ has presented to us.
Vision: At HCOB Youth Ministry, we desire to see youth who profess Christ as Savior, understand who God made them to be, and share both with their friends and family.
What We Do
The different things we do together!
Sunday Fundays – One Sunday a month, we meet for a fun, welcoming event ranging from energetic to refreshing where we encourage first-timers and friends to enjoy. Some events include mini-golf, scavenger hunts, movie nights, and concerts!
Youth Group – Our regular gathering on Sunday evenings from 6-8 (unless it’s a Sunday Funday). This is the place to bring your struggles, questions, celebrations, and worries, and share them with people who care. Our lessons and discussions revolve around who we are and why we need Jesus – specifically when we have problems in life.
Service Projects – Once a quarter, we serve our community in some way to shine our light. These are times to partner with the church and other organizations in our community to get out of the building and represent the church.
Trips – Conferences, retreats, service trips, and many more! Throughout the year, the youth have different opportunities for experiencing new and exciting things, as well as seeing God work outside their everyday communities.
