Doug Hinton
Senior Pastor
After serving as Pastor of Youth and Discipleship for 4 years, Doug accepted the call to become the Senior Pastor of HCOB in 2018. As he leads this body of believers, he desires to draw each member into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and with each other. Doug, his wife Jen, along with his son and daughter enjoy time together with her boxer dog, Lincoln.
Doug says, “Feel free to call, email or stop by. If I’m not at the church, I’m always up for a cup of coffee!”

Geoff Davis
Associate Pastor
Geoff is privileged to serve God through the gifts of preaching and teaching. As a member of the Hempfield Ministry Team, he preaches monthly and assists with the spiritual needs of the congregation. He also works with our other pastors and teams to ensure that this congregation is becoming what God would have us be to serve the kingdom.
Geoff and his high school sweetheart, Sally, celebrated 50 years of marriage in 2019. They have two sons and four granddaughters. Geoff enjoys bicycling, learning and playing the tuba in various musical organizations. He is the owner of Conversations, Inc., a business specializing in coaching, strategic planning and team building.

Monica Lantz
Children’s Ministry Coordinator
We are excited to introduce you to our Children’s Ministry Coordinator. She is a wife to Josh and mother to 2 young children, Jace and Mackenzie. Her qualifications include a Masters in Education from Lock Haven University. She taught at U-Gro Learning Center in Lancaster, Hildebrant Learning Center in Lancaster and Hempfield School District. After pausing her career to raise her children, she is anxious to get back to using her talents working with our children and the church family. Monica began coming to Hempfield through the Mom’s Connect program. When asked what drew her to HCOB, she said her family loved the special events, but it’s the little things that keep them here.

Laura Meiser
Associate Pastor of Discipleship
A former classroom music teacher, Laura has served in music ministry for 25 years, 6 of those years at HCOB. Additionally, she ministers to our children through song and biblical teaching. Laura is on the preaching rotation and is a current student at Evangelical Theological Seminary. As a passionate worshipper and student of the word, she seeks to share God’s love with the people entrusted to her care through music and the hearing and application of scripture to daily life.
In 2019, honoring a life-long call to vocational ministry, Laura enrolled in seminary at Evangelical Seminary and, after an unexpected merger, completed her Master of Divinity degree with Kairos University. She ordained in July 2024.
Laura enjoys reading, exploring historical sites and learning. Laura is married to husband Darren and has two daughters, Madison and Rowan.

Irene Hershey
Office Administrator
Irene comes to Hempfield Church of the Brethren with experience in both office procedures and a ministry background. She has worked in different church and secular opportunities and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion from the University of Findlay in Findlay, Ohio. Her desire is to work within the body of Christ to help coordinate the ministry of the local assembly.
She is a single parent of adult twins, Rose and Grant and lives in East Petersburg.
